 Denise N. Washington

I never know where to begin when talking about myself. To keep it simple, I am a School Psychologist and enjoy working with at risk youth but currently considering a career change. I have a love for traveling and spending time with family and friends. I graduated from the BEST HU (Hampton University) and received my MA from Montclair State University. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., in which I was graciously named EN ROUTE due to my love of being on the go.  Born to a southern woman (Alabama) my passion to travel began with family fun trips down south each summer. My first trip out of the country was a cruise to the Bahamas for my high school graduation. The ability to see the lands beauty and see the town through the eyes of the natives, created a desire for me to see more of the world, and so my journeys began.

The WHY!  As a psychologist I am always seeking to understand the WHY. So naturally helping viewers understand why this blog was created comes natural. This blog was designed to highlight places of fun and beauty, a release from everyday life, and inspire people to doing things to enhance their personal growth. As a lover of TRAVELING I am fully aware of how going to different places (near or far) brings joy, comfort, inspiration, and excitement into life. I am also familiar with “THE GRIND”, that sheer will to SUCCEED and get things done.

This blog sheds light on beautiful places and connect travelers everywhere, to share their stories and journeys, and how it has impacted their lives. In addition, this blog is for people who find themselves always ENROUTE to being the best they can be for either themselves, their children, their families, or anyone they love. I hope you enjoy!
